I’m not sure whether there is any cultural significance to the muppets, certainly not any gravitas (unless maybe you count Sam the Eagle). But somehow, I think this video carries some weight with my generation… Long Live Beaker!

One of my favorite live readings here is Thomas Meehan’s Yma Dream. Wonderfully read here by Christine Baranski on NPR’s Selected Shorts. When we first heard this, Jenny and I were in tears of laughter. An amazing tongue twister of a story.
