Matters of Great Import

I’ve got my list and I’m checking it twice, no not presents.  Groceries and fine foods.  It seems to me that this year will be about the 10th year when we will have done a goose here in Austin for Christmas, with my mom and dad coming down to celebrate Christmas here.  We’re doing the full on dinner…. roast goose, homemade saurkraut, red cabbage, bratwurst, potatoes, baked apples, cucumber salad, pickled herring, steinhaeger   oh … and Christmas crackers so we can all look silly with the paper crowns on our heads…

May you all find the opportunity to keep Christmas (as Dickens would say), and to share it with those you love, using traditions and making new.
